I thought I’d post a little collection, all in one place, of some posts I have written in the past that I think might be of interest with Valentine’s Day approaching.

• Inexpensive Gift Ideas:  Valentine’s Day:  I made a little list of suggestions for very inexpensive Valentine gifts for both women and men.  These are gifts that I honestly would appreciate, or would honestly give.
  
• Inexpensive Valentine Date Ideas:  This is just what it sounds like.  A list of inexpensive date ideas I compiled in anticipation of Valentine’s Day.  Just because you are short on funds doesn’t mean you can’t give your time and attention to that special someone, and show them that you have put some thought into making it a special day or night for the two of you.  In this case, I really think it’s truly the thought that counts.
• Making a Valentine Card:  Leave the Macaroni in the Pantry:  In this post I explain how I like to make cards as an adult, and give some suggestions and ideas for making one yourself.
• 10 Not-So-Lovely Love Songs:  When you think about it, and really listen to the lyrics, some “love songs” just aren’t very loving at all.  I made a list of some.  I think this could be a good post for those who are single on Valentine’s Day.
• Late Shift Date Night Ideas:  This post is recent.  I thought I would include this post for those who may be working late this Valentine’s Day.

I suppose I could have written some new posts for Valentine’s Day, but I’ve been very busy getting ready for it this year!  Hopefully this post will be interesting, maybe helpful.

I have a lot of ideas for new posts, but haven’t started any of them.  Most will take a little time and thought.  I’m also visiting David again, so I’m not dedicating a great deal of time to writing for my blogs.  In the mean time, though I was thinking, just for fun, I’d share a list of a dozen of my favorite manly fictional characters with you.  So, here goes.

I have loved these characters for a long, long time.  If I were going to say something lead to my love of the manly man, it’d probably be one, or all, of these guys.  Le sigh.

Ridiculous Ways I Pass Time in a LDR

For those of you who don’t know, “LDR” is an abbreviation for long distance relationship.  If you know us, or if you’ve read this blog for a while, you might know that David and I have been in a long distance relationship for more than 2 years now.  We live roughly 4 hours apart.  Sometimes it can be a little difficult, being without him.  We miss each other a lot when we’re apart as you might expect from a long distance relationship.  We have quite a few tricks to make that easier.  I might share those in a later post.  But, tonight I’m thinking about the sillier aspect of my time apart from him.  Mainly, the fact that my cool factor decreases the moment he leaves.  So, just for fun, here’s a list of ridiculous ways I pass the time:

• Changing out of my pajamas in the morning and into…clean pajamas.
• Reading fashion blogs and then not heeding any of their advice.  Gosh I love these pajamas.
• Watching entirely too many YouTube videos.
• Cooking, baking, and reading about cooking & baking.
• Finding new Facebook games to play and then abandoning them because they aren’t fun enough.
• Learning as many new ways to braid and twist my hair as possible.  I.E.  Braiding and re-braiding my hair repeatedly.
• Catching up on all my soap operas as I talk to my mom about the characters as though they are real people I know personally.  He doesn’t really love you, Steffy Forrester!
• Reading other blogs while I try to motivate myself to write a new post.
• Promising myself I will catch my blogs up and post more often.
• Dancin’ with myself!!!
